Kids in Christ (KIC) offers occasional fun activities for kids and families through fifth grade.
One favorite is our Annual Drive-In Movie night. Kids and dads make cardboard cars and decorate them. They are brought to church on the appropriate evening and lined up outside in front of the big screen. Kids wear their pajamas and bring their blankets in case it gets cool. Parents bring their lawn chairs and line them up at the back of the "theatre."
There's always a snack bar set up. Kids "pay" for their snacks by reciting memorized Bible verses.
As soon as it becomes dark enough, the movie begins. When it ends, there may be a few "drivers" sleeping in their cars, but all agree it is a very enjoyable event.
Another annual activity is the fun-filled KIC Christmas party, held at someone's home. It's a time of fun, games, gifts, food and enjoyment of the special season.
