In early November over 50 of our members chose to bless our nearest public school--Shivela Middle School--by hosting a workday. Our members cleared out-of-control hedges that had become safety hazards, raked leaves, washed windows, moved items to storage and provided general cleanup services.

Shivela's principal wrote, in part:
I want to thank the members of your church for the wonderful gesture of love and community involvement demonstrated last Saturday with the work performed at Shivela. Our campus was a better place on Monday thanks to your hard work.
The many tasks you performed have made an overall improvement in the appearance of our campus, and I want you to know that the students and staff of Shivela appreciate it immensely.
