Involvement Ministry

The Involvement Ministry:

John 15:8 reminds us that it is to God’s glory that we “bear much fruit”. Romans 12:1 reminds us that our “reasonable service” is to sacrifice ourselves to God.  Paul reminds us in 2 Tim 2:2, 2:4-7 we must find “faithful men to teach faithful men” in order to maintain the integrity of the Gospel.

Deacon – Isaac Williams

Elder – Mike Swager

We are the “go to” Ministry for members to get connected; biblically encouraging the uninvolved to get involved in Serving God by Serving Others.

This ministry serves to function as the introduction of new Christians and new Members to the loving and caring environment of the Murrieta Church of Christ.  It is designed to provide sound outlines of this congregation’s personality in a manner based on principals of scripture, congregational history, and Church leadership.

To encourage all members to identify and to use their God-given design (spiritual gifts and personal passions) to serve in the body of Christ and the community; while building relationships that lead to the whole church experiencing spiritual and numerical growth, to the glory of God.

Sub Ministries:

  • Welcome Ministry:

Leader –Evelyn Williams

Provide a warm and welcoming environment to our visitors and guests.  We want to encourage a return visit and possible membership if the visitor is looking for a church home.  More importantly, we want to introduce Christ to those who may not know Him.

As the visitor’s first contact with the Murrieta Church of Christ, we want to present a warm and nurturing environment to those seeking Christ; through our greeters, the warmness of our existing members, and ushers, we want to leave a lasting impression of a family who worships and serves Christ.

  • New Christians/ New Members Ministry:

Leader – Vennita Jackson

Provide initial Biblical Education to the New or Young Christian and orientation to New Members.

Through loving fellowship and equipping our new family members with information and guidance, we will encourage each to become an active part of the family (body) of Christ and to promote its good to the glory of God.

  • New Member Orientation Facilitator:

Leader – To be determined

Provide introductory information to members of the Vision and Mission of the Murrieta Church of Christ.

We want to provide our New Christians/ Members with information and guidance that ensures warm and nurturing integration into the Christian Family worshiping at the Murrieta Church of Christ.

We meet every 3rd Saturday in rooms 111A & 111B from 9:30 am to noon.

The Involvement Ministry Needs You!

If you would like to teach our New Member’s Orientation or our new Introduction to Christianity classes, please sign up and join us at our next ministry meeting on Saturday January 17, 2015.

Come, help us encourage our members to become even greater…….. Ambassadors for Christ!

Please contact Isaac Williams for more details (refer to church directory)

New Members:

Our New Member Ministry oversees two lunches per year which are held on various fifth Sundays. We gather to honor the new members and to become better acquainted with them by interviewing them in front of the audience.
We provide them with a series of questions in advance so that they are prepared with the answers for the interviews.
The Elders also host at least one quarterly class per year for new members to help acquaint them with our church body and to answer any questions they may have. This class also helps the new members identify their gifts and begin to find their specific place in the body here at Murrieta Church of Christ.

Men’s Ministry

Monthly Prayer Breakfast

On the first Saturday of every month, you will find the Men’s Ministries cooking breakfast in our Fellowship Center. They meet at 7:30AM, cook their breakfast (and even eat their own cooking!), and then have a time of prayer and fellowship.

Mens' Retreat

Mark your calendar. Dates & location, to be determined. Join with other men of God in fellowship and prayer.

  • Are you the spiritual leader of your home?
  • Are you the protector?
  • Are you the provider?
  • Are you a caring man?
  • Are you a humble man?
  • Are you a holy man?
  • Are you a courageous man?

Never give up, never back down, & never lose faith.

“Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you or forsake you.”

Seniors’ Ministry

Weekly Breakfast & Study

Our Senior group meets every Thursday morning at 8:00 AM for breakfast at one of our local restaurants.

Following breakfast, they come to the church building at 9:30 AM where they have their own House-to-House group fellowship and Bible study.

The Seniors plan trips to various destinations in Southern California, and they answer Uncle Sam’s call whenever our church building becomes a polling place by being on hand to assist voters with their needs.

Our Senior ladies are also very involved with potlucks, showers and other events, as well as with communion preparation.

I am the Community Relations Director for Vineyard Place- a brand new memory care being built in Murrieta. I wanted to reach out to your church to see if there is any possibility in the future to have someone from the church do services with our residents. I know some churches can’t do that, but I figured I would ask around and find out how we can best meet our future resident’s spiritual needs. Also, do you guys at the church ever have seniors who are in need of guidance if they need to find housing whether its independent, assisted living, or memory care? I have been serving the needs for seniors for over 8 years now, so if you ever come across someone needing guidance, I’d be happy to help out! I live here in the Murrieta area so I know what resources are around! Anyways, please let me know if your church might be able to do services at our community once we are open!
