The Ministry of Benevolence plays a very important role in the life of our church. As the economy weakens, the ministry’s value increases.
Needs surround us, but so do people willing to help fill them. We maintain a stocked pantry, and our Benevolence Ministry leader is kept busy listening to people’s requests and determining how best to help.
In addition to the funds set aside specifically for this ministry, fundraisers are also scheduled such as car washes and rummage sales. These fundraisers are supported by the entire congregation and not just by the Benevolence Ministry members.
No matter what other needs may arise, there are always holiday food bags provided at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas for those of our own congregation and others who benefit from our congregation’s generosity.
Hats off to our hardworking Benevolence Ministry!
